Plum Puddings by Truffles
       
Truffles Traditional Olde English Christmas “Plum” Puddings are made with the highest quality ingredients including plump vine fruits, dark muscavado sugar, fresh free range eggs, luscious mixed peel, juicy glace cherries and freshly prepared wholemeal breadcrumbs. The recipe for this delicious pudding has been handed down through the family and is over 100 years old. The pudding is rich, fruity, very full flavoured, yet light, just as puddings used to be.

Before making the puddings, the fruits are soaked for 24 hours in dark ale, sherry, brandy. The traditional puddings are cooked in lidded basins,, which are then wrapped in the best quality English muslin, tied in the old fashioned “rabbits ears” with a dark green and gold foiled label with full details of ingredients and cooking instructions, which also doubles as a gift tag.

There is a taste for everyone, traditional brandy, still the most popular, followed by Cointreau, rum and whisky.
